What characterises an innovative teacher, learner and/or educational setting?

An innovative teacher, hmm... isn´t that just a teacher who is abel to make the right educational settings for every individual pupil?

Aren´t we (teachers) trying to make and/or invent the best courses for each pupil, so they are ready to capture the world, once they finish their education?

Of course it´s significant that an innovative teacher is a head with the developement in this globalized world we live in.

So innovative and cognitive is the words for teachers......

  1. I would answer: YES and YES. :o)
But to look at the first question you asked: you could also characterize this teacher as "flexible", don't you think? So what is the difference between innovative and flexible? - I think your second question helps finding a difference, because of the aim to reach by reinventing or remaking some educational settings, methods and so on. Furthermore I may totally agree that an innovative teacher needs to be ahead with all the developements going on, that he is able to prepare the pupils for "real life".
Short, but a very concise work! Well done, Helle :-P
